Postdoc Yaxin An has left the group to begin her independent research career as an assistant professor in Cain Department of Chemical Engineering at Lousiana State University. Yaxin joined Princeton in Summer 2021 and was jointly advised by Will Jacobs in Chemistry. She spearheaded a project between the two groups related to active learning of properties phase-separating proteins; the project was funded via the generous support of the Biomolecular Condensate Initiative.

Prior to joining Princeton, Yaxin received her BS in Chemical Engineering from Central South University, China and her MS in Chemical Engineering from Tianjin University, China. She performed doctoral work at Virgnia Tech under the advisement of Prof. Sanket Deshmuk.
