Graduating senior, Grace Wei '22, took home not one but two(!) awards on Princeton's Class Day. From the Chemical and Biological Department, Grace received the SABIC Senior Thesis Award, which is awarded annually to a graduating senior for an outstanding thesis in chemical technology. In addition, from the Princeton Institute for the Science and Technology of Materials (i.e., PRISM), Grace received the 'Outstanding Materials Student Award,' which is the highest undergraduate honor bestowed by PRISM and recognizes "combined excellence in academics, research and dedication to materials science."
Grace's senior thesis was on "Ion Transport in Two-dimensional Hybrid Organic-Inorganic Perovskites" and combined both computational (advised by Prof. Webb) and experimental methods (advised by Prof. Lynn Loo) for the study of such. She will be attending UC Berkeley next Fall in pursuit of a Ph.D in Materials Science.
